After releasing the cassette productions of "Weather Colors" and "Raintears," Cabaret du Ciel arrived at their first mature work, the result of many rehearsals in the studio. Mixing electronics with ambient, pop, experimental, and cinematic sounds, they created "Skies in the Mirror". The intrinsic strength of the tracks, which seem to evoke and support images, translates into a soundtrack for slideshows made by Paola Moretto, ranging from nature to the abstract. The sounds lend themselves perfectly to commenting on those images, creating a concert-event in Treviso, where the group plays behind a large screen on which the slides are projected. After the success with both critics and audiences, the cassette was released under the Ionisation Tapes label. The eight highly inspired and inspiring tracks, have evocative titles such as "Falasarna Exposure", "Hora Aurea", and "The Tightroper Masqued Encounter". After about 30 years, the French label "Hybride Sentimento" released "Skies in the Mirror" on vinyl, which does not seem to age and continues to evoke emotions in those who listen to it. The group therefore decided to professionally remaster the work by G.Luigi Morosin and the precious experience of Jessica Thompson and distribute it through various music platforms.
